The church was originally built in the 12^th Century but has undergone multiple phases of remodelling and changes in material.

London stone conservation was commissioned to carve and replace the existing defaced corbels. The stone angel corbels are fixed to the short curved braces of the C15 low pitched nave roof. The roof has moulded tie beams and closely spaced rafters.
